Tank Scene Kingfish Aquariums in Austin, Tx. is a full service aquarium maintenance company, specializing in all types of aquatic ecosystems. We offer sales and service of freshwater and marine aquariums in both commercial and residential settings. Kingfish has extensive experience in providing aquarium installations for commercial customers including medical offices, hospitals, and retail firms. We focus on working closely with you or your contractors through all stages of design, construction and installation.

This Oceanic 150 gallon aquarium is supported by a custom solid oak cabinet and covered by a hinged oak canopy. The canopy houses over 1000 watts of light including metal halide and VHO actinic supplements. The fourteen or so fish sprint across this six foot long aquarium swimming in and out of the currents produced by an alternating wave maker. Strong and varied current keeps food and waste products from settling on the prisinte white aragonite substrate. The life support system below the aquarium includes a protein skimmer, chiller, and sump system. These components help keep the fish healthy and the corals vibrant and colorful. Over the past two years this aquarium has been sucessfull in growing soft corals and large poylped corals. Recently, we added two tridacnid clams and several aquacultured stony coral fragments. Check back with us in the months to follow as these challenging corals begin to take root and grow.
